Is your why big enough?

“If your why is big enough, you’ll learn something and then begin doing it; the hows will take care of themselves. But without a meaningful why,
little will happen”
– Dr. John F. Demartini.

If you find yourself stuck in a state of inaction and procrastination, then the above words should already point you towards your solution.
Most of us spend our days marveling at the big and great ideas we have that somehow never seem to get beyond the state of conception.
We sit and wonder what could be. At times we even have the belief and conviction that these would work. But somehow, these ideas stay stuck
in our heads. For one reason or the other, there always exists an excuse which just makes enough sense to stop us from chasing our dreams.

Life has taught me we get to keep the excuses we fight for. It’s either we look for excuses as to why things cannot change or find inspiration on how they can be changed. Change is definitely hard to accept, but so is misery. The cost of success might be high, but so is the cost of feeling stuck and living beneath our true potential. Everything has it’s price.

One of the toughest obstacles we need to overcome is the fear of the unknown. For most, overcoming just this one obstacle would open the
doors to a life of abundance and wholesomeness. Fear holds our dreams and desires hostage. It has the cunning ability to
create a false sense of comfort and satisfaction. It is through fear that most settle for the bare minimum in life. It’s through the false sense of safety created by comfort zones that many dreams, ideas and visions remain unfulfilled. So, what is your why? What do you stand to lose if you do
not follow your hearts desires? What do you stand to gain from playing small?

Comfort zones are like your bed – they become warmer and impossible to escape the longer you stay in them!

If you do not find the courage to face your fears you will never know what you stood to achieve. Find the inner power and resolve to
see beyond the unknown and focus on the rewards your sacrifices, discipline and courage will bring. See, I believe the greatest pain is not
the pain of breaking a leg or missing out. The greatest pain, I believe, is the pain of regret.

It’s time you make a choice – your dreams or your fears?
